I'm always looking for great reference books for teaching, training, pastoring, mentoring, leadership, discipleship, and those that are formative for my thinking. The book at the top of a list represents the book that holds the "pole position."  Sometimes these books can occupy this position for years.  Other times it will get replaced by a new book that does the job even better.
